With summertime just around the corner, it’s not too early to start thinking about adding a beverage station to your outdoor entertainment area. There are some beautiful (and quite pricey!) outdoor furniture pieces available, but for most of us, they are way out of our price range. Here’s where some creative backyard DIY comes to the rescue!! With a little elbow grease and imagination, you can transform your outdoor area into a place you’ll want to spend endless summer hours with family and friends. So, let’s get busy transforming and re-purposing!
Using a potting table as a beverage station is a great choice for many reasons, one being that it is already weatherproof. Potting tables come in many different sizes and styles, and used ones can often be found at garage sales and flea markets at bargain prices. Or, if you, or someone you know, is handy in the building department, then why not create your own? Take a look at the gorgeous Pottery Barn version on the left, and the DIY creation on the right – pretty amazing – and at a fraction of the cost!
